The president of Fondazione Oelle is the 22nd guest of the initiative “The Art of Balance / Pandemopraxy”, launched by Cittadellarte. Ornella Laneri reveals how she will bring sustainability into her fields of competence, that is tourism (“through shared planning and a dialogue with the economic and political forces”) and art (“creating an educational department within the foundation I preside”). What will you commit to?
At a crossroads between invisibility and revolution, in this dreamlike standby phase, I’ve chosen to be part of the change in an active manner, committing from the very beginning to an ethical rebirth in both my fields, tourism and art: in the former, through shared planning and a dialogue with the economic and political forces, for an informed, communal and sustainable hospitality; in the latter, creating an educational department within the foundation I preside. All this with the objective of real educational support to young artists in a moment of great emptiness but also of endless possibilities, being convinced that today art – if listened to and welcomed – can greatly contribute to change.
