The art of balance #7 | Carlo Capasa, how will you dress?
The president of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion is the seventh guest of the new initiative launched by Cittadellarte, a project of rebirth and responsible social transformation called “The art of balance / Pandemopraxy”. Carlo Capasa explains how the companies in the sector are in need of an economic, social and environmental rebirth post Covid-19 emergency. “So far, we have worked to provide entrepreneurs, employees and consumers with the instruments to face the consequences of this crisis not only as a cure, but also as an opportunity to reflect on how to produce and buy in a more conscious way”.

How will you dress?
The global pandemic has caused fashion and the Italian creative industries to experience a severe crisis. After these months of apparent stand still, our companies and our creativity feel the need for a rebirth not only economic, but also social and above all environmental.

Today more than in the past, we must have the strength to be a team, to create a network. So far, we have worked to provide entrepreneurs, employees and consumers with the instruments to face the consequences of this crisis not only as a cure, but also as an opportunity of reflection on how to produce and buy in a more conscious way.

Our businesses see their strength in manufacturing, with exceptional supply chains that have allowed fashion to become an icon of our country and a strategic asset that has to be preserved. A group of people who work as artisans and entrepreneurs, of men and women who represent our brands all over the world. An incredible record that highlights the uniqueness of our industry, first in the world for high-quality products and commitment towards a social and environmental responsibility.
How will I dress? As always. Beautiful, well-made and sustainable, that is I’ll dress Made in Italy.
