From the Rebirth Forum to the Third Paradise, the experience of ambassador Giacomo Bassmaji in Curitiba (Brazil) On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Museu Oscar Niemeyer, a collective work dedicated to the trinamic symbol was created thanks to the collaboration between the Rebirth/Third Paradise embassies in Reggio Emilia and in Vigevano, in the persons of Giacomo Bassmaji, Fortunato D'Amico, Nadia Calzolari, Consuelo Cornelsen and Marc Pottier, involving the Brazilian museum staff (including director Juliana Vosnika) and 60 local artists, each of whom created three works with which Michelangelo Pistoletto's sign-symbol was composed. “Cultural diplomacy”, a webinar on the Third Paradise at the Espronceda Institute of Art & Culture On 14 January, the Espronceda Institute of Art and Culture in Barcelona proposed a talk dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto's sign-symbol, to the practice of the Biellese artist and to Cittadellarte. Speaking at the event – attended by remote international participants – was Saverio Teruzzi, coordinator of the Rebirth/Third Paradise project, with Savina Tarsitano, Rebirth/Third Paradise ambassador, as moderator. The webinar, part of the new project "Cultural Diplomacy", focusing on the concepts of peace and solidarity, was organised in cooperation with the German Consulate in Barcelona, with the patronage of ENCATC (European Network on Cultural management and policy) and the collaboration of the international project "Kids-Guernica", the European Culture Parliament, the cultural association "Embajada del art" and "Guernica Remakings". Rebirth Day at Vinci’s Comprehensive Institute: the Third Paradise between responsibility and new generations Last December, Vinci’s Comprehensive Institute hosted the interdisciplinary project “Educating to Peace: Leonardo, Picasso, Pistoletto”, curated by Rebirth/Third Paradise ambassador Patrizia Vezzosi. The initiative aims at establishing a connection between art and current events, with a view to peace and sharing. Through creative workshops and educational activities, the students of the Tuscan municipality's 1st grade secondary school understood the importance of art as a tool of collective responsibility, not as a target. The Third Paradise and Inner Developement Goals From sustainable development goals to inner development goals: Edoardo Marcenaro, head of the legal department of Enel Grids, after speaking at the Rebirth/Third Paradise ambassadors' meeting last weekend, offers his reflections and insights on the topic. “Inner Development Goals is a non-profit open-source organisation,” he said, “for the inner development, research, collection and communication of science-based skills and qualities that can help us live a purposeful, sustainable and productive life”. As Marcenaro reported, the current framework of the Inner Development Goals indicates five categories and twenty-three skills and qualities which are especially crucial in accelerating the achievement of the SDGs. The five categories (being, thinking, relating, collaborating and acting) and the related skills and capabilities are fundamental tools to put in place a practical action plan on how to achieve the 2030 Agenda. Third Paradise, the Rebirth ambassadors’ meeting at Cittadellarte On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December the spaces of Fondazione Pistoletto will host a meeting that will see the participation of about a hundred Rebirth/Third Paradise ambassadors of different professional backgrounds and geographical provenance. In the course of the weekend, the participants will discuss how to concretely develop the trinamic symbol, each one in their own territory, but in a network coordinated by Cittadellarte, i.e. Michelangelo Pistoletto, Paolo Naldini (director of Cittadellarte) and Saverio Teruzzi (ambassador coordinator). “Some of them will be visiting Fondazione Pistoletto for the first time and it will be a bit like discovering a home,” said Teruzzi, “as well as an opportunity to get to know each other and explore who we are and the themes we share.
