How will you dress?
The clothes I would like to wear
I will wear clothes that are beautiful and well-made, but above all ethical and sustainable. To be sure of that, they will need to be clothes of which I can find out the origin and the story.
This means knowing where, how and by whom they have been made.
Because, if the label claims that they have been made in respect of the environment and its resources, of the health of who would wear them and of the rights of the workers who made it – no matter in what factory or fashion house in the world, all this needs to be credible and transparent.
An item of clothing says a lot about us. It’s time to be able to buy one that tells about our informed and responsible choices. I’d say that “if it is possible, it must exist”.
Fashion is starting being a bit more responsible. And with our choices we can make sure it contributes to generating a more sustainable model of progress, in line with the goals of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030, a commitment all of us have subscribed.
