From Palazzo Reale with an eye on the world, Michelangelo Pistoletto’s exhibition “The Preventive Peace” opens in Milan Last night, Palazzo Reale hosted the vernissage of the new exhibition project by the Biellese artist, which will be open from today - Thursday 23 March - until Sunday 4 June 2023. The exhibition "The Preventive Peace" articulates in the immersive experience of the work "Labyrinth", and the result is a disorienting journey among the artist's works that leads the visitor along the itinerary of awareness that has guided Pistoletto in conceiving "art at the centre of a responsible transformation of society". “Fashion for Planet Open Parliament”, a civic parliament convened by art for fashion and the planet in Milan Fashion met sustainability in a mosaic of collective exchanges: during Milan Fashion Week, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and Cittadellarte Fashion B.E.S.T. proposed an open parliament in the Sala del Parlamentino of Palazzo Giureconsulti, which for the occasion became a space for listening to the "voices of nature". The initiative saw the participation of philosophers, artists, entrepreneurs, journalists, designers, students and people from all walks of life and sectors who spoke with, for and on behalf of the planet. “Clothes are our second skin,” said Michelangelo Pistoletto, “we must be creatively responsible”. Rome, DART – Chiostro del Bramante hosts the Michelangelo Pistoletto exhibition “Infinity – Contemporary art without limits” The exhibition project dedicated to the artist from Biella at DART - Chiostro del Bramante will run from 18 March to 15 October 2023. The exhibition, curated by Danilo Eccher, features fifty works and four large site-specific installations in an itinerary that covers the entire career of Michelangelo Pistoletto, from the 1960s to more recent works. “Cultural diplomacy”, a webinar on the Third Paradise at the Espronceda Institute of Art & Culture On 14 January, the Espronceda Institute of Art and Culture in Barcelona proposed a talk dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto's sign-symbol, to the practice of the Biellese artist and to Cittadellarte. Speaking at the event – attended by remote international participants – was Saverio Teruzzi, coordinator of the Rebirth/Third Paradise project, with Savina Tarsitano, Rebirth/Third Paradise ambassador, as moderator. The webinar, part of the new project "Cultural Diplomacy", focusing on the concepts of peace and solidarity, was organised in cooperation with the German Consulate in Barcelona, with the patronage of ENCATC (European Network on Cultural management and policy) and the collaboration of the international project "Kids-Guernica", the European Culture Parliament, the cultural association "Embajada del art" and "Guernica Remakings". The Third Paradise and Inner Developement Goals From sustainable development goals to inner development goals: Edoardo Marcenaro, head of the legal department of Enel Grids, after speaking at the Rebirth/Third Paradise ambassadors' meeting last weekend, offers his reflections and insights on the topic. “Inner Development Goals is a non-profit open-source organisation,” he said, “for the inner development, research, collection and communication of science-based skills and qualities that can help us live a purposeful, sustainable and productive life”. As Marcenaro reported, the current framework of the Inner Development Goals indicates five categories and twenty-three skills and qualities which are especially crucial in accelerating the achievement of the SDGs. The five categories (being, thinking, relating, collaborating and acting) and the related skills and capabilities are fundamental tools to put in place a practical action plan on how to achieve the 2030 Agenda. When art meets sustainable fashion: the third edition of “Circulart” has been presented The protagonists of this year’s edition are two international artists and two international fashion designers, selected through an open call launched by Cittadellarte: Augustina Bottoni, Lucia Chain, Huge Sillytoe and Rebecca Sforzani, young talents called upon to create a work with fabrics produced by partner companies, focusing on dialogue and on the enhancement of the textile industry production chain. “CirculART is a research and innovation format with which we have now been experimenting for three years,” said Paolo Naldini, director of Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto, “we start by identifying the challenges that companies deem as most urgent, and then explore possible lines of development with artists and experts from different sectors”.
