“Not only a selection of unique pieces accompanied by a certificate of authenticity as works of art: in Fashion to Reconnect, the designers/artists become sensitive creators of a new civilisation in which the dialogue between opposites and between different species are the basis for creation, inviting us on a meditative journey towards clothing as the first home to inhabit, the chosen home in which to feel reconnected”. This is how curator Tiziano Guardini presented Fashion to Reconnect, an exhibition opened to the public for the first time on 25 June 2023 on the occasion of the event Arte al Centro, and inspired by the new dynamic balance of the Third Paradise by Michelangelo Pistoletto and Cittadellarte. Designers, entrepreneurs, brands and artists offered perspectives and ways to reconnect and create a harmonious relationship with nature, where the choice of materials and processes, and the change of perception of the creation itself become the engine of a virtuous transformation of fashion. The pieces on show have been selected by Cittadellarte Fashion B.E.S.T., under the patronage of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, with the curatorship of Guardini and exhibition design by GuardiniCiuffredaStudio.
The exhibition will now travel from Piedmont to Lombardy: from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm on 25 February, an exclusive selection of items will be on show in Milan in Palazzo Giureconsulti’s Sala Colonne as part of the Fashion Week and as a follow up to the Fashion for Planet Open Parliament, held on 22. The capsule, as for the original, will be curated by Tiziano Guardini, conscious creative director and member of the Fashion B.E.S.T. collective, with the GuardiniCiuffredaStudio again taking care of the set up. Specifically, Fashion to Reconnect – The capsule aims at transforming clothes and fashion objects into authentic works of art: “These masterpieces embody not only aesthetic beauty, but also social responsibility,” emphasise the organisers, “serving as tools to raise awareness for positive change in the world. The selection of materials and processes, as well as the perception of creation itself,” they conclude, “become catalysts for a virtuous transformation in the fashion industry”.
