“Will the world save beauty?”, the exhibition in Rome features the mirror painting “Carabinieri”
On 12th July, the National Museum of Castel Sant’Angelo presented the exhibition project "Will the world save beauty? - Prevention and safety for the protection of cultural heritage”, which showcases finds recovered from the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and illustrates the prevention and protection systems adopted by state-owned museums and cultural sites. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini, the mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi and Michelangelo Pistoletto, who created the work "Carabinieri" especially for the exhibition.

Michelangelo Pistoletto wins the “Lorenzo il Magnifico” Career Award
The Florence Biennale has announced that it will present the prestigious prize to the Biellese artist on the occasion of the 13th edition of the event, scheduled from 23rd to 31st October 2021 at the Fortezza da Basso, in Florence. The honour will be awarded to Pistoletto "for the continuity of over sixty years of research in the artistic and interdisciplinary field, which has brought contributions of fundamental importance not only to art, but also to human, scientific and social disciplines".

“#artistiperiltana”, when art supports a wounded natural paradise
Last February, a landslide devastated the headquarters of the association for environmental protection and education TANA, which is also home to the Rebirth / Third Paradise ambassadors Tiziana De Tora and Marco Papa. “Re:Earth”, at Cittadellarte an artistic residency between climate change and the Third Paradise
From 1st to 7th June, Fondazione Pistoletto hosted the initiative developed by Jazz:Re:Found thanks to SIAE’s call “Per Chi Crea”. The participants, relying on the contribution of tutors and guests, started by investigating the relationship between man and nature and its impact on the environment, to then create an audiovisual show on the themes of the residency.

When ethics meets fashion: Cittadellarte has hosted a day of conferences dedicated to sustainability
Yesterday, Fondazione Pistoletto hosted two conferences on responsible fashion that started new networking processes between business representatives, fashion designers, lecturers and key figures in the sector: in the morning, "+ Ethics + Fashion" – organised by Accademia Unidee – launched a speculative investigation into the resonance of the fashion system in dealing with the theoretical concepts of sustainability and circularity present in contemporary global culture; in the afternoon, "Circular Threads" – curated by Tondo, Cittadellarte, Associazione Tessile e Salute and Rén – presented the first Italian study on the relationship between textile industry and circular economy.

“Creativity Forum”, three days of dialogue between Italian Unesco Creative Cities scheduled for September
This morning, a press conference presented the first edition of “Creativity Forum - Carrara for the UNESCO Creative Cities”, an initiative aimed at starting a dialogue and a collaboration between all the Italian UNESCO Creative Cities. The event, scheduled for September, will bring to Carrara representatives of the institutions and experts in the fields of art, craftsmanship, architecture, economy and communication, gathered to discuss the theme of urban regeneration and the rebirth of the historical centres after the pandemic.
