To discover some of the instruments needed to conceive projects of sustainability and innovation through design and art: this is the objective of Boost your ideas! Give value to your organization, a workshop organized by POLI.design and UNIDEE Academy. The event (free but registration here is required) is not only an educational day for professionals and companies, but also the preview presentation of the master’s degree in Design, Creativity and Social Practices starting in February 2020, aiming at developing professionals in the field of social and environmental engagement able to create and manage projects giving value to the public and private organizations they are part of. How can we introduce sustainability and innovation into organizations, thus generating social impact and economic profit? Part of the contents of the immersive experience programmed for 30th November will be centred on this question. “The workshop – we read in the press release for the event – will be an opportunity to meet social innovators and entrepreneurs, thus getting to know their experiences, exchange views with people who have been working focusing on sustainability making it a value for their companies, and participate in workshops showing how social impact can be generated through design, art and creativity”.
But let’s now have a look at the programme, which will kick off at 10 with a welcome speech, followed by an inspirational talk at 10.30, after which, at 11.30, activities will start with the meeting with the innovators, with some time reserved at 12.30 for a debate among the participants and the usual Q&A. After the lunch break (from 13.00 to 14.00) the master’s degree programme will be presented in the course of the meeting ‘Design, creativity and social practices’: an opportunity for companies, a gamble for social entrepreneurs. The workshops will start half an hour later, focusing on five different themes (participants can indicate two preferences at the time of registration): art and organizations, design and organizations, social impact and organizations, narrating organizations, re-organizing the organization. The last activity of the day will be a round table at 16.30, a moment of collective sharing among all the participants.
