“Will the world save beauty?”, the exhibition in Rome features the mirror painting “Carabinieri” On 12th July, the National Museum of Castel Sant’Angelo presented the exhibition project "Will the world save beauty? - Prevention and safety for the protection of cultural heritage”, which showcases finds recovered from the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and illustrates the prevention and protection systems adopted by state-owned museums and cultural sites. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini, the mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi and Michelangelo Pistoletto, who created the work "Carabinieri" especially for the exhibition. Michelangelo Pistoletto wins the “Lorenzo il Magnifico” Career Award The Florence Biennale has announced that it will present the prestigious prize to the Biellese artist on the occasion of the 13th edition of the event, scheduled from 23rd to 31st October 2021 at the Fortezza da Basso, in Florence. The honour will be awarded to Pistoletto "for the continuity of over sixty years of research in the artistic and interdisciplinary field, which has brought contributions of fundamental importance not only to art, but also to human, scientific and social disciplines".
