Rebirth Forum Rome, how demopraxy has taken roots in the capital

An artistic residency as an educational instrument, the students from ArtEZ Academy at Cittadellarte

Starting from last week and for five weeks Fondazione Pistoletto will be hosting “arti-vamente”, an artistic residency involving twelve students from ArtEZ Academy in Arnhem, ten of whom are in their last year of a bachelor’s in visual arts. All the participants will carry out an individual research, also through the natural contaminations of Cittadellarte and its spaces. The residency includes a programme of meetings managed by the UNIDEE office and the tutoring by some of their professors. A public open studio will mark the end of the experience.

Demopraxy, sustainability, responsability: the new Rebirth Forum at the Macro in Rome

The first Rebirth Forum in Rome will be held on 24th, 25th and 26th January 2019, at, and with, the MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art. The representatives of a hundred organizations will participate in the initiative, and will work to identify responsible and sustainable practices and projects for the realities active on the territory of the capital city according to the criteria of the Art of Demopraxy.

Cittadellarte’s sustainable fashion at the White Street Market in Milan

In the context of the fair dedicated to street culture, Fashion B.E.S.T. will present a selection of brands already well-known for their sustainable development, displayed along Michelangelo Pistoletto’s “Venus of the Rags”. In programme is also a speech by Paolo Naldini, director of Cittadellarte.

From spring 2019, Biella and Trivero will host a big exhibition project developed over three different venues: Palazzo Gromo Losa, Cittadellarte and Casa Zegna. Curated by Alberto Fiz, it puts Michelangelo Pistoletto’s and his father Ettore Olivero Pistoletto’s arts in dialogue with each other. Here is an anticipation of the event.
