The Third Paradise has been chosen as the symbol of the 2022 Sustainable Fashion Awards, held next Sunday in Milan. Cittadellarte will assist the National Chamber of Italian Fashion in the new edition of the event celebrating the fashion world’s commitment to a renewed ecology of relations and practices; a new being together based on a pact between man and nature. The ceremony, which will close the current Milan Fashion Week, is organised by the Chamber of Fashion in collaboration with the United Nations Ethical Fashion Initiative, and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the ICE Agency and the Municipality of Milan. The event, hosted at La Scala in Milan, will reflect the partnership between the National Chamber of Fashion and Fondazione Pistoletto, which has been renewed after ten years, confirming a shared commitment to educating in the field of sustainable fashion, which is at the basis of Cittadellarte’s Accademia Unidee and its three-year degree and master’s degree courses, run in collaboration with the textile industry, global brands and the United Nations.
“The Third Paradise,” reads the dedicated press note, “represents the fusion of the first and second paradises: the first is the one in which human beings were totally integrated into nature, the second is the artificial paradise, developed by human intelligence. The Third Paradise is the third phase of humanity, which is realised in a balanced connection between artifice and nature”. As if to further seal the collaboration and bond between Cittadellarte and the Chamber of Fashion, Michelangelo Pistoletto will be present at the evening as a member of the jury appointed to select the winners of the 2022 Sustainable Fashion Awards. The awards honour virtuous people and businesses from the Italian and international fashion world that have distinguished themselves for their commitment to sustainability in its highest sense, for vision, innovation, commitment to craftsmanship, acknowledgement of differences, circular economy, human rights and environmental justice.
