CITTADELLARTE When ethics meets fashion: Cittadellarte has hosted a day of conferences dedicated to sustainability Yesterday, Fondazione Pistoletto hosted two conferences on responsible fashion that started new networking processes between business representatives, fashion designers, lecturers and key figures in the sector: in the morning, "+ Ethics + Fashion" – organised by Accademia Unidee – launched a speculative investigation into the resonance of the fashion system in dealing with the theoretical concepts of sustainability and circularity present in contemporary global culture; in the afternoon, "Circular Threads" – curated by Tondo, Cittadellarte, Associazione Tessile e Salute and Rén – presented the first Italian study on the relationship between textile industry and circular economy. Responsible fashion, an open studio by Flavia La Rocca for Fashion Revolution live from Cittadellarte On Saturday 24th April, from 10 am to 6 pm, Flavia La Rocca will curate an online event as part of the Fashion Open Studio, a global initiative for the presentation and mentoring of Fashion Revolution. The exhibition “Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Truth” at the Museo Comunale d’Arte Moderna di Ascona The monographic exhibition dedicated to the Biellese artist and curated by Mara Folini and Alberto Fiz will be held in the Swiss city from 30th May to 26th September. “Community School: the academy for the education community”, the course for Biella’s teachers and educators has started The course, curated by Cittadellarte, Tantintenti, Il Filo da Tessere and Associazionedidee, started on 5th March. “Protect Cittadellarte”: a crowdfunding campaign set up following the flood Given the entity of the damage caused to its spaces by the overflowing of the river Cervo, Fondazione Pistoletto has started a campaign to raise funds on the Derev platform. “The art of care”: the presidente of the Italian Red Cross at Cittadellarte with all the actors of the project On 20th July, in the spaces of Fondazione Pistoletto, Francesco Rocca met Paolo Naldini and Michelangelo Pistoletto for a series of operational meetings on the initiatives the artistic and the volunteering institutions are collaborating on. At 18.00h, a public conference saw the attendance and the participation of the representatives of all the organisations adhering to the project “The Art of Care”, whose joint contributions led to the production of 100.000 face masks donated to the Red Cross and 10.000 face masks donated to Biella’s hospital.
