The Art of Balance #73| Elena Schneider, what will you produce?

The president of Gruppo Schneider is the 73rd participant in the initiative “The Art of Balance / Pandemopraxy”, launched by Cittadellarte. Elena Schneider starts by pointing out one of the issues generated by consumerism: the advent of artificial fibres, which “unfortunately,” she said, “have caused the terrible problem of pollution by microplastics”. How can we address it? “It’s absolutely necessary that mankind use its intelligence to restore perfect harmony with nature,” she explained, “by consuming better and in a more natural and fair way”.

The lawyer and art influencer is the 72nd participant in the initiative “The Art of Balance / Pandemopraxy”, launched by Cittadellarte. Luca Timpani offers an analysis of the role the handshake and the kiss have had throughout history, “thousand-year-old traditions” that are disappearing with the advent of the Coronavirus. The guest then answers this episode’s question: “I think it’s early to say when our greeting habits will be reintroduced in work places, religious rituals, sport events or at dinners among friends,” he said, “but I’m convinced that the need for connection based on human nature is stronger than the fear of a pandemic”.

The business jurist once again takes part in Cittadellarte’s project “The Art of Balance / Pandemopraxy” answering another of the key questions of the initiative. Edoardo Marcenaro, after talking about his personal experience, reflects on the impact the pandemic has had on different professions, identifying a series of positive and negative changes brought about by smart working. “For a while,” he said, “the social element was replaced by an ‘online coffee’ or an ‘aperichat’, which the first time are fun, the second time are cut much shorter, the third time after greeting each other people don’t know what to say anymore”.
